We’ve just released our latest version of Property Hive; version 2.0.16. This version includes a couple of changes primarily surrounding mobile formatting and parts B and C of the Trading Standards Material Information guidance.
Enhanced mobile formatting for the admin area of Property Hive
If you’ve ever used Property Hive on your mobile to edit properties or access an item from the CRM, you’ll know that it wasn’t really optimised for mobile use.
To combat this, we’ve enhanced mobile formatting throughout the WordPress admin area. This means that any tables or grids that appear in Property Hive are now easy to view on mobile. Great for if you’re out on the road!
If you’re using the Calendar add on, this change also benefits you when viewing your calendar and appointments.
Material information parts B & C
Back in July 2022 we told you about the changes we had made to support part A of the Trading Standards Material Information guidelines. Fast forward two years and it’s now time to talk about how we’re accommodating parts B & C in Property Hive.
Our latest release of Property Hive sees the addition of a new section in the property record for UK Sales and Lettings. You can access this area by going to Property Hive > Properties > Details > Utilities & Additional Information.
Here you can include any relevant ‘material information’ for displaying on the front end. When information is populated in this section, it will now appear on the front end in the property record as a new button titled ‘Utilities & More’.
Please note that if there is no information entered into this section in Property Hive, this button will not show on the front end.
When the user clicks on this button, a light box will open, displaying the relevant ‘material information’ for the property.
If you import properties from a third party CRM that includes the relevant fields in their property feed, these will be imported into Property Hive when an import runs.
Over the coming weeks we will be adding support for the feeds to Rightmove and Zoopla. This means that if you feed to these portals, any material information entered into Property Hive will also be sent to the portals.
Rank Math enhanced compatibility
Our latest release includes enhanced compatibility with Rank Math. If you’re storing images as URLs, the change ensures that the OG image tag is filled correctly should someone share it on social media.
