The first Property Hive release of 2025 has just dropped and it contains some great new features and improvements. Let’s jump right in and look at these in more detail below:
Use Mapbox for your property maps
Mapbox has increased in popularity over the last few years and we’re proud to announce that you can now use it as the primary map provider when displaying maps on your property website.
To enable this, in WordPress, simply navigate to ‘Property Hive > Settings > General > Map‘ and choose ‘Mapbox‘ from the list of providers there:
You’ll need to create an API key in Mapbox and enter it in the settings area above.
Once you’re all setup, any maps shown throughout Property Hive will use Mapbox. This includes the property record in WordPress, any maps output on the property details page, and the Map Search feature.
Support in Property Hive CRM for international applicant price requirements
It’s no secret that we’ve always focused primarily on the UK market, however international support has always been available. The ability to store properties in different countries and currencies was added back in 2016 and is being utilised by many overseas agents.
Not only can agents outside of the UK manage their properties, but they can also feed properties to overseas portals such as Kyero, APlaceInTheSun and more.
That’s on the property side of things, but what about storing overseas applicants and matching suitable properties to them? That wasn’t quite possible because on an applicant you could only record their price requirements in GBP.
As we aim to support more international agents and expand our reach, allowing applicants price requirements to be stored in the respective currency is key and we’re pleased to say this is now possible with this latest release:
On an applicant’s requirements inside WordPress the price will now be stored in the currency in which you operate. If you operate in multiple countries that use different currencies, you’ll have the option to choose the dropdown just like in the screenshot above.
Customise how strict reCAPTCHA is
Nobody likes spam. But also nobody likes getting treated as spam when they’re a genuine user.
If you’re using Google reCAPTCHA v3 on your Property Hive forms we’re now giving you more control over how strict this is with the addition of a ‘Score Threshold’ setting.
Under ‘Property Hive > Settings > General > CAPTCHA‘ you can enter a number between 0 (let’s more spam through) and 1 (stricter) to control what property enquiries and applicant registrations get rejected.
And lots more…
- Don’t load maps by default in Elementor ‘Tabbed Details’ widget if not the first tab. Maps hidden behind a tab were contributing to Google API usage and so are now only loaded when the map is clicked
- Added negotiator details to REST API property requests
- Made taxonomies available in the REST API. Can be accessed via https://yoursite.com/wp-json/wp/v2/property_type for example where ‘property_type’ is the taxonomy name
- Swapped order of country options in international settings area to be more logical
- Any errors occurred when making a property enquiry or registering as an applicant will now be shown instead of a generic ‘Please ensure all required fields have been completed’ message
- If an error occurs whilst registering as an applicant, automatically scroll the window up to the error so it’s visible. Previously it felt like nothing was happening
- Corrected issue with automatic email matching setting not enabling
- Corrected missing blank option from showing in availability search form dropdown
- Corrected dummy property import page not working when ‘Property Hive Only’ mode is enabled in user settings
- Corrected typo in automatic email matching settings tooltip
- Declared compatibility for WordPress 6.7.2
This latest version of Property Hive is available to update to right away through WordPress or by downloading the latest version here.
