Version 1.4.33 of Property Hive has just been released and, although a small release, contains some features we’ve been asked about a lot recently.
Order Commercial Properties By Price
Because a commercial property can be for sale, to rent, or both, ordering them by price is a little tricky. We’ve now added a workaround so your users can successfully sort your commercial property stock in WordPress by price. We’ve also updated the default search/order-by.php template to include these new options also.
Search Contacts By Email Address and Telephone Number
Ever had an email with no name, or missed a call and unsure who it was from? Now you can search contacts within Property Hive by their email address or telephone number meaning finding who tried to get in touch should now be a lot easier.
Automated Match Emails Now Get The Correct ‘From’ Address
Any match emails sent to applicants automatically would previously have the ‘From’ email address set to the WordPress admin email. We knew this wasn’t quite right when we introduced the feature, but wasn’t quite sure which address they should be sent from, especially if you’re including properties from multiple offices within the one email.
We’ve now updated this to look at which office has the most properties contained within the match email and will use that email address by default, else it will use the admin email address as the fallback.
Changes to How Notes Are Displayed
When notes are displayed we would previously display the date they were added as ‘2 months ago’, for example. This isn’t very useful if looking to see the exact date that something happened.
To improve this we’ve taken inspiration from how Facebook display their news feed. If a post is within 24 hours we’ll display it as ‘X hours ago’, else we’ll display the exact date and time the note was added.
This is only a small release but there’s still been plenty going on at Property Hive HQ. In case you missed it, we integrated with Locrating last week so you can display local schools, as well as created a new export to A Place In The Sun for our WordPress users storing overseas property stock.
