Join us as we take a look at the top five most popular add ons in Property Hive based on sales since our launch.
Add Ons in Property Hive are a great way to add additional functionality to your estate agency website. They allow you to pick and choose the functionality you wish to use to take your property website to the next level.
We’ve collated the numbers of sales of each add on to bring you this list of the most popular amongst our users:
Coming in at number one, and the clear winner selling over two times the amount of our second place add on, is the Property Import add on.
With many agents using some sort of third party property software or CRM, it makes sense that they’d want their properties to sync automatically, removing the need to enter them in multiple places.
Using this add on you can import properties from the majority of property software companies such as Jupix, Expert Agent, Dezrez, Vebra, and many more. It’s easy to setup and once done you can just leave it running in the background so properties are always kept in sync.
The Map View and Draw-A-Search add on is my personal favourite. This ranks number two in our top five list.
Once it’s activated you can offer your users the ability to view their results on a map, as well as the standard list or grid view. It’s fully customisable allowing you to change the marker icons, styling and more.
What’s really cool about this add on though and what makes it stand out is its Draw-A-Search feature. Using this your users can draw a shape directly onto the map indicating the area they’d like to search in and the relevant properties will be displayed.
A simple but effective add on is our Printable Brochures Add On coming in at number three.
With this add on you can add a ‘Print’ button to your property details pages. This will output the details in HTML or PDF and offers your users a nice print-friendly version of the details.
We find this add on especially useful for agents that don’t generate brochures or particulars of their own, and particularly lettings properties when it’s rare brochures would be generated.
The Radial Search Add On looks really simple. From the front end all it does is add a dropdown to search forms and allows users to search within a set number of miles from their desired location. Behind the scenes though there’s some clever stuff going on; calculations on latitudes and longitude coordinates, complex database queries, and more.
We’re pleased to see it makes the top five list as a result of the hard work that went into it. We feel this is one of the add ons which has the most benefit to a users search experience.
Scraping into fifth place on our list of most popular add ons is the Real-Time Data Feed Add On. Using this add on you can send properties from WordPress to property portals such as Rightmove and On The Market in real-time.
As soon as you update a property in WordPress, within seconds it will automatically get updated on the portals too. This add on is great for estate agents that don’t use software to do this already and saves having to manually duplicate the properties on these portals.
