Version 1.3.19 Released

25th April 2017

Today we released version 1.3.19 of our Property Hive WordPress plugin. In this post we’ll take a look at some of the improvements that you can benefit from on your estate agency website.

Redirect to a Different URL After Property Enquiries are Submitted

By default property enquiries are sent using AJAX meaning the user doesn’t leave the page when enquiries are made. This results in a smoother experience and means the user doesn’t get taken away from the page they’re on.

Sometimes however you might want to use tracking code or analytics to measure the number of enquiries being made. As a result, we’ve made it possible to redirect to a separate ‘Thank You’ page once an enquiry has been successfully submitted.

You can refer to our documentation for instructions on how to achieve this on your estate agency website.

Improved Address Keyword Search

We’ve tweaked the way that searching by address works, specifically regarding address fields that contain dashes. Previously, for example, searching for ‘Walton On Thames’ wouldn’t return properties that had ‘Walton-On-Thames’ in their address (notice the dashes). This this update this will now take this into consideration and hopefully mean your users get more results returned.

Added parking and outside space to the default single-property/meta.php template

The single-property/meta.php template that comes with Property Hive contains a variety of information, including bedrooms, tenure, furnished and lots more. We’ve added parking and outside space to this template so, if set, it will now show when viewing the property record on your website.

Declared compatibility for WordPress 4.7.4

We’ve tested Property Hive with the latest version of WordPress released just a couple of days ago and have marked it as compatible.
