We’ve launched a new free plugin to the WordPress plugin repository which acts as an add on the popular Formidable Forms plugin.
Although not truly property related, the idea for this plugin did come from someone who was using Formidable Forms and wanted to show a dropdown containing their properties so their users could select the one in question. This wasn’t previously possible so we released this plugin so a new field type can be added to forms allowing posts, pages or custom post types to be displayed in a select.
Once installed a new field type, called ‘Posts, Pages, CPT Dropdown‘ will become available:
After adding this field type a couple of options will appear:
You can choose the post types to display, as well as the format of the option value and label. For example, if you were displaying a list of properties from Property Hive you could change the ‘Label Format’ box to be ‘%title% | %meta_bedrooms% bed %taxonomy_property_type%’ to make it easier for your users to choose the correct property.
Of course, this isn’t just restricted to estate agency sites and could be of benefit to anyone using Formidable Forms.
