We’re pleased to announce the launch of our first “data bridge”. This is a new type of add on which allows Property Hive to work alongside other popular real estate themes.
By far one of the most common questions we get on the support desk is “Does Property Hive work with the Houzez theme?“. Previously our answer would be a straight “No” and move on. As this is something that kept coming up again and again it got us thinking that there must be a solution. It’s a shame that so many people might be missing out on the excellent functionality offered by Property Hive just because of a choice of theme.
After throwing a few ideas around we came up with the idea of ‘data bridges‘. These would be a simple add on that you drop into a WordPress site running both Houzez (or other real estate theme) and Property Hive, and the data bridge would sync data between the two. Automatically at regular intervals property data would be synced from Property Hive to the theme in question.
What this means is that you can use Houzez for the frontend of an estate agency site, whilst still using some of the Property Hive add ons, such as importing properties from third party software like Vebra or Dezrez, or sending properties to the portals such as Rightmove or Zoopla.
This first data bridge we’ve released is for the Houzez theme, however we’ll be looking to add more for other popular real estate themes in the near future. To view or download the add on please visit the link below:
