Welcome to the latest edition of our regular quarterly updates. In this article we will take a look at the Q3 2024 Property Import Add On changes.
If you’re new to Property Hive, we typically provide these updates once a quarter and include all updates to the import add on, broken down by estate agency CRM.
Without further ado, here it is; our Q3 2024 import add on round up:
General
- We’ve broken up long logs into manageable chunks, so they no longer get cut off
- Added a fallback for the download_url() function, allowing it to work seamlessly on WordPress.com-hosted sites where this function was previously disabled
- Optimised anywhere we query agents as part of support for our Property Portal add on
- Prevented duplicate declaration of shutdown functions if they already exist
- Now the media queue fires at the start of the import reducing the time properties are displayed without images
- Declared support for WordPress version 6.6.2
- Ensure a post_excerpt is set on media when it’s downloaded in background
Street
- We now support importing additional material information parts B and C
- Use the new ‘is_commercial’ flag to accurately identify commercial properties
- Catch errors returned in responses and log these accordingly
Reapit Foundations
- Look at type, style AND unmappedAttributes when importing property types
- Added support for importing price qualifiers specific to commercial properties.
- Added filter ‘propertyhive_property_import_remove_properties_in_php‘ to do remove logic in PHP. For large imports where the SELECT query was failing due to memory limits

- Import caption for floorplans
- Import brochure title as post excerpt

- Added support for importing material info

- Added ‘Sale By’ mapping and import accordingly

- Added support for separate commercial status and property type mappings

- If a request is denied during geocoding we won’t then continue trying for each property
- Import ‘highlights’ field if no features exist

- Cater for ‘poa’ being the price qualifier and set POA field accordingly

- Added steps to prevent imports getting into an infinite loop

- Corrected ‘user_information‘ in enquiry requests to be an object instead of a collection to match the specification
- Corrected date formats in enquiry responses to match the specification. Format used is now d-m-Y
- Support for Property Portal add on when requesting enquiries

- Added more logging surrounding invalid XML to assist with debugging

- Cater for comma-delimited branch names being entered in branch mapping

- Added filter ‘propertyhive_reaxml_statuses_imported‘ to allow sold properties to be imported

- Added preliminary support for importing properties from eGO
