Q2 2024 Property Import Add On Updates

Here at Property Hive, we call the Property Import Add On ‘our baby’. It’s our favourite, it’s your favourite and we take great pleasure in seeing it grow and evolve to include new formats and features all the time.

As always, there’s been lots happening with the Property Import Add On. So, in keeping with our usual quarterly post, here’s our Q2 2024 Property Import Add On update.

General

Cater for exact hours not being entered as exact hours (i.e. 8:00, 12:00 instead of 8, 12) when specifying the frequency at which imports are ran.
Pass $import_id through to pre-import hooks for all formats
New actions added before and after the import cron runs
Write to import logs whenever a geocoding request is being performed
Declared support for WordPress version 6.6.1

Alto by Vebra

Added support for material information parts B&C by upgrading to use v13 of their API
Use id as the property reference number if no agent reference is present
Correct decimal places for ground rent and service charge
Added new ‘non-traditional’ tenure to list of default tenure field mappings

Street

Import material info part A details

Loop

Correct issue with media modified dates being rounded as they’re provided with milliseconds which could result in media being downloaded every time an import runs
Cater for NULL summary descriptions which would throw a database error
Check for errors in response and handle accordingly
Added support for the Property Portal add on
Correction to how the displayAsUnderOffer field is handled

10ninety

Don’t continue processing the feed if no properties are found. Previously, if there was an issue obtaining properties (i.e. the 10ninety server was unavailable) this would remove all properties

MRI

Extended timeout in individual property requests
Increase number of images imported from 30 to 99 after they’ve increased the number of images included their end

Acquaint

Added support for virtualtour2 field
Import deposit
Import council tax band and other material info

VaultEA

Added more info to error logs if request fails when trying to obtain properties

Apex27

Commercial status and type mappings enabled

Expert Agent

Encode media URLs and use https for files imported

Kato

Added support for importing properties via the Kato API meaning we now support their API and XML feed formats
Corrected issue with image imports
Add rent and price columns to units table generated in XML feed
Pass width parameter in image URLs to prevent huge images. Defaults to 1150px but can be customised using the ‘propertyhive_agentsinsight_image_width’ filter.

Real-Time Data Feed (RTDF)

Set currency on lettings properties
Correct commercial descriptions imported
Added filters so mandatory fields can be customised
When validating mandatory fields, only check for empty string. Allow ‘0’ as some fields, such as property type, use 0 to mean ‘Not Specified’

Muven

Import brochures
Use ‘price_numerical’ field for the price instead of trying to extract it from the ‘price’ field which could be a string containing currencies and price qualifiers etc
Ensure currency is set

AgentOS

Support for new property type field
Use OID as property reference number if no global reference set

Dezrez

Added more debugging to logs when JSON can’t be parsed

Rex

Added ‘only import updated properties’ option
Import ‘formatted_dimensions’ field when importing room information
Improve price imports when extracting the price from a string

Reapit Foundations

Add clarification on API charges to import setup screen
Enhancements whereby we’ll now query properties by status in requests, as opposed to filtering them afterwards. Should reduce number of API requests
More logging added surrounding the requests made
Import deposit

Continue where a previously failed import fell over
Import properties in the new homes department utilising the GetNewHomesProperties method

Rentman

Corrected typo in bullet point field name

Kyero

Cater for images with .asp or .php extensions
Cater for sub property type field ‘en’
Catered for image URLs with query string
Move downloading of feed to a different file for better logging if an issue occurs whilst obtaining the file
Cater for missing/invalid price. Previously it would throw a PHP error

Inmobalia

Added support for importing Inmobalia XML files

thinkSPAIN

Added support for importing properties in the thinkSPAIN XML format

webEDGE / PropertyNews

Ensure withdrawn/sold/let/draft properties aren’t imported with filter ‘propertyhive_webedge_off_market_statuses’ added to override these ignored statuses
