We’ve recently released an update to the API for our QR Code Generator feature. Here’s the heads up!
What is the Property Hive QR Code Generator?
In 2022 we released our free Property QR Code Generator add on. This feature provides a property specific QR Code that can be used on your marketing materials such as window cards, brochures and For Sale signs.
The idea is that, when scanned, the QR Code takes the interested party through to the property listing on your website. Using property specific QR codes ensures that the correct property listing can be found. QR codes also make for a great user experience due to their speed and convenience.
What update have we made to the QR code API?
The add on previously used Google Charts API however this has since been deprecated so is no longer available. Due to this, we’ve switched over to a new API service goQR.me for generating property QR codes.
What do I need to do?
If you’re already using this add on, simply make sure that you’re running the latest version of the Property QR Code Generator add on.
To do this, go to WordPress Plugins > Installed Plugins > Property Hive QR Code Add On and look for the available update.
If you’re using Property Hive but don’t use this add on at present, you can activate it in WordPress Property Hive > Settings > Features. Once activated, a property specific QR code will appear in the ‘Media’ section on a Property record.
If you’re completely new to Property Hive, download the core plugin to get started and then follow the steps above to activate this feature.
