What is location based property search?

Location based property search uses someone’s current location to show them relevant properties nearby.

When using Visi.homes, someone visiting an estate agent’s website on their phone can share their location. Visi.homes can then show them details of the property they’re standing outside, along with other available properties in the surrounding area.

How does Visi.homes work?

Visi.homes brings location-powered property discovery into an estate agent’s website.

Visitors can access it directly through the website on their phone, or via a QR code on For Sale and To Let boards. This gives anyone who spots a property while they’re out and about a quicker way to find out more.

It’s worth knowing that there’s no need for a different QR code on every property as VisiProperties provides one agency-wide code that can be used across all of an agent’s boards.

Once someone accesses Visi.homes they can explore the property they’re standing outside, see other available properties nearby and continue their search through the agent’s website.

Visi.homes provides an agent admin portal, including interactions reporting, helping agents understand how people are engaging with their boards and moving from the physical world to their website.

How does Visi.homes work with Property Hive?

We’ve built a Visi.homes add on to give Property Hive users a straightforward way to add Visi.homes to their existing website.

You’ll need a Visi.homes subscription and the embed code supplied by VisiProperties. From there, setup is pretty simple:

1. Install the Property Hive Visi.homes add on.
2. Add your Visi.homes embed code in the Property Hive settings.
3. Save your changes.

Property Hive then adds the Visi.homes experience to your website.

There’s no bespoke integration to build. Just another tool you can add to your Property Hive setup if you want to use it.

Why use location based property discovery?

If someone is standing outside a property, that means they’re already in the area and interested enough to find out more. Giving them an immediate way to explore what’s available makes it easier to act on that interest there and then.

They might love the property or they might think it’s completely wrong for them. But they’re interested enough to find out more, and that’s where location becomes useful because there may be another property nearby which is suitable for them.

The benefit for agents is that it creates another route from physical marketing into their own website and gives people a way to keep exploring other properties while their interest is there. It also makes board activity a little more measurable, meaning agents have a better idea of how people are interacting with their boards and what happens next.
